About

Hello! My name is Zach and I am a wanderer. I grew up in a typical middle class household and was fairly segregated from my peers due to the location of my family home. I spent my younger year getting lost in stories; books, movies, video games and anything else I could get my hands on to help myself learn about the world around me and often escape into worlds fueled by imagination. I eventually moved on to college, got an engineering degree, found myself a good stable job and settled into adult life, but that itch to wander and explore never quite left me. After four years of living the “good life” I decided I had had enough and quit my job, moved to Chicago and am now living a life of discovery and exploration again. I decided to make this a book blog because while my journey will certainly involve travel, meditation, writing and whatever else I can dig into, it will also allow me to return to my roots and dive headfirst into a pile of books. I hope you can all find something here to help you on your journeys as well. Thanks for reading!

“He wondered, as he had many times before, whether he himself was a lunatic. Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.” – George Orwell

“Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time.” – Carl Sagan
